Wood is a small, specialist law firm, super-focused on increasing the value of intellectual property for its clients. It provides IP expertise from start to finish. No need to hire separate trademark specialists, solicitors or barristers.
This level of specialisation makes Wood fairly unique. So we came up with the line ‘IP done differently’, together with a brave, bold brand identity to get the idea across. This in a sector where the visual language is notoriously safe. The look and feel are based around suite of visual motifs / patterns, inspired by the shapes made by neurons in the brain during the creative thinking process.
As we all know, lawyers tend to use a bewildering amount of jargon, so we created a no-nonsense, straight-talking tone of voice. The colour palette is also suitably direct — mainly monotone, with a limited selection of four highlight colours if they’re needed.
